Meet The Executive Board
Hi everyone! My name is Jess Kowalski, and I’m a senior majoring in Organizational Psychology with a minor in Communication. In addition to Phi Eta Sigma, I’m also involved in the James Scholar program, Greek life, and psychology research. In my free time, I love working out, trying new foods, and spending time with friends. I’m really looking forward to what this year will bring for PES!
I'm a senior in Industrial Engineering with a minor in business. I love working out, dancing, painting, reading, bingeing shoes, and most of all meeting people! This year I am really excited to go plan more in-person events and help you connect with your fellow PES members. I've also been a part of APO, IISE, SWE, Chaarg, TFN, and EntreCORPS so if you need any advice feel free to reach out!

Hi! My name is Molly and I’m a senior majoring in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences with a concentration in Health and Diversity. On campus I’m also involved in Camp Kesem, an organization that provides summer camps to children whose parents have cancer, and the Development in Neurogenetic Disorders Research Lab. This past summer I worked at Loyola Medicine’s COVID-19 vaccine clinic helping deliver care to vulnerable populations. In my free time I love to be outside, play the piano, and be with my golden retriever Charlie!
Hi my name is Taylor Yen and I’m a junior majoring in Industrial Organizational psychology with a minor in business. At the University of Illinois I’m involved in several clubs such as Undergraduate Psychology Association, Human Resources and Psychology Organization, Undergraduate Society of Human Resource Management, and Her Campus. In my free time I like to travel around the world, workout, try out different foods/cuisines, and I love to experiment with makeup products and fashion. I look forward to serving as this year's Social Media Coordinator and can’t wait to meet everyone in person!

Outside of PES, I serve on the executive board for Beta Gamma Sigma and Campus Honors Program Honors Student Council. I also work as a tutor at the Gies College of Business Undergraduate Success Lab as well as the Office of Minority Student Affairs Academic Services Center. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, taking photos, and visiting art museums. I am also passionate about giving back to the community through volunteering. I encourage all of you to get involved in PES by joining committees and attending events!
I'm a current intern for an Illinois State Representative and the Education Justice Project. I am an assistant teacher for a GED reading class, and I've been working with adults to improve their reading skills which has not only been really rewarding but informative as well. I've learned much about the challenges the local community faces. I'm also the membership director for Mentors in Medicine, and I published my first novel at age fifteen. I've conducted research in entomology and neuropsychology, and I really enjoy helping people. I'm especially excited to serve the Champaign-Urbana community this year! A fun fact about me is that I love to waterski and fence, and I'm a black belt in Tae Kwon Do!
